Edited by Serenella Ciclitira and published by SKIRA, “Singapore Eye: Contemporary Singapore Art” provides a comprehensive survey of contemporary art in Singapore, featuring the artwork of over 60 local artists. Contributions by experts trace the origins of artistic development in the country, offering insights into emerging trends as well as texts on each featured artist.
Over 300 copies of the book will be donated to schools, institutes and libraries in Singapore.
“Singapore Eye: Contemporary Singapore Art” will be available for sale from 17 January 2015 at the ArtScience Museum Gift Shop.
Also available for sale are Malaysian Eye: Contemporary Malaysian Art; Indonesian Eye: Contemporary Indonesian Art; Hong Kong Eye: Contemporary Hong Kong Art; Korean Eye: Contemporary Korean Art, all of which have become key resources about the country’s contemporary art scene, providing a seminal survey text for curators and critics to draw upon.
